VSL utilizes a receiver client in order to access hosted Windows, Web, or Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. In order to install that client, please review the steps below.
Open a web browser and navigate to https://vsl.csuchico.edu. You should see a login screen like above. Enter your Chico State user name and password in the correct fields.
If this is the first time logging in to VSL from this computer, your screen will appear like the one above. Click the green install button to continue.
After clicking the green install button you will be prompted to download and install the Citrix Receiver client. Click "Run" to install the Citrix Receiver client.
After clicking Run, follow the on screen instructions to install Citrix Receiver. Click "Yes" or "Allow" if you are prompted. You should see the windows above.
Click "OK" once the installation is complete.
After the installation completes the Virtual Software Library web page will show you one or more application icons. If you are enrolled in more than one course that uses the VSL, you will see applications for each of them. If two courses use the same application, only a single icon for that application will be displayed.
Click on the application you would like to use.
The first time you launch an application or access your local computer's drives through a VSL application you may see a screen resembling the one below. In order for the VSL to function properly, make sure to check the box "Do not ask me again" and then click "Permit all access".
