Enable Cached Exchange mode in Outlook 2010

Summary
This article will walk you step by step through enabling cached exchange mode in Outlook 2010. Cached exchange mode allows outlook to store temporary data on your computer, which makes it accessible when you are offline. Some features of Outlook 2010, including Junk Mail Filtering, will not work unless you are operating in cached exchange mode.

Steps

Open Account Settings

With Outlook 2010 open, go to the File menu and click on Account Settings.

Edit Exchange Account

Make sure that your Exchange Account is highlighted in the accounts list, then click Change.

Enable Cached Exchange Mode

Check the box that says "Use Cached Exchange Mode."

Finish

Click Next and OK on the window that pops up, then click Finish and Close.
Restart Outlook. To restart outlook go to File and Exit.
Open Outlook and Cached Exchange Mode should now be enabled.
